After investigation with Wetsus, European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, reversible adsorptive technology is suitable for HP-RFC application for the removal of PFAS in our drinking water. Hence, Proxcys is very excited to join the “Integrated PFAS Reduction” program.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances or “PFAS” are a chemical compound, also known as “the forever chemical”, due to its heat, water and dirt repelling capabilities and do not occur naturally in our environment. Even though, nowadays you will be able to find it everywhere in our environment. From soil to sea and everything in between. All is affected by PFAS due to the amounts we produce and put on everyday items. For example, Rain coats, non-stick frying pan’s, shoe spray. You name it.
With a big topic also shown on our Dutch news channel yesterday the rising PFAS levels in our rivers are worrisome. Immediate action is needed in order to keep our drinking water safe!
the “Integrated PFAS reduction” program is an exciting joint program with the goal of reducing the PFAS levels in our European drinking water. This would be another great stride in further achievement in our mission of anchoring HP-RFC as valued process and purification technology and creating a more sustainable environment for our children!
