Radial Flow Chromatography course
This 1-2 day (online or face-to-face) course focuses on the basics of RFC technology.
Day 1 (Theory)
- The basics of chromatography
- Packing chromatography columns
- Method development
- Optimization and scale-up steps
- The differences and similarities with axial processing
- Tips and tricks for cleaning chromatography material
Day 2 (Practice)
- Packing a small-scale (segmented) Radial Flow Chromatography column
- Packing a (full radial) process volume Radial Flow Chromatography column
It’s a beginner’s level course aimed at engineers, chemists, biologists, and biotechnologists. This course can be provided on-site or at the Proxcys service center in Emmen, The Netherlands.

Packing training
Practical operator training for the use of Proxcys columns and packing systems. The hands-on training session focusses on the fundamentals of RFC column usage by theoretical explanation and hands-on work. The goal is to get the team familiar with the technology and equipment.
Packing or maintenance training is considered a part of the project and is typically scheduled after FAT or SAT at the client. Training will be tailored to the project scope and user experience.
A training package can be customized by diving further into specific areas, f.e column packing, slurry preparation, recipe developing and editing, trouble shooting etc.

Maintenance training
Hands-on training emphasizing the safe and practical maintenance and cleaning of Proxcys HP-RFC columns and packing systems. The training shall focus on the maintenance, (dis)assembly and optional pressure testing of the relevant Proxcys equipment.
